The BBC Young Composer Network is launching, which is a new database for teachers, schools, and partners to sign-up for access to Continuing Professional Development (teacher training) activities and resources.

• 🤝 An opportunity for black sixth form students to connect with creatives - Stefon Williams, a very well-connected entrepreneurial coach, has put together a list of over 50 Black professionals & creatives in London who are keen on connecting with Black school students.

• 🌎 Creative Mentor Network - CMN run programmes that offer mentoring for young people aged 16-25 looking to get into the creative industries. Their mission is to make the creative industries more socio-economically diverse and inclusive by supporting young people from low socio-economic backgrounds. If you have a creative sixth form student who could benefit from extra support, this is for them!

• 🐢 The UK Architecture industry is a slow burner. It’s only projected to grow by 3% between 2020 and 2030.

• 🦠 It’s not pandemic-proof. A staggering 28% of Architecture and Interior Design professionals who were unemployed in 2020 were unemployed by 2021 (due to the pandemic).

• 🙏 But they need talent. Practices are struggling to attract and retain the number of employees required to meet the demand for work.

• 🤦‍♀️ And they definitely need more women. Only a third of the architecture sector is made up of women,
