• 💳 Free financial literacy programmes for schools - Money Minds is an innovative financial education programme developed by Yorkshire Building Society to inspire children and young people to learn about money and give our colleagues a new impactful way of volunteering within the community. Watch their free videos online & inspire your kids to be more money savvy.

• 💃 Free Summer arts programmes for teens - AIR is offering five weeks of summer programs for teenage girls and gender expansive youth from Rockingham and Strafford Counties. Four weeks are for teens ages 14 to 18, one week is for 11 to 13.

• 🎧 NEWS: Welsh schools get free music tuition from Sept - The national music service will have a particular focus on learners from low-income households, under-represented groups and those with additional learning needs. The programmes will be rolled out from September 2022 for children aged between three to 16. In addition to learning to play an instrument, they will be able to practice their singing.

• 🧘‍♂️ Free wellbeing programme for state schools - Wellbeing Solutions has pledged to support 1000 state-funded schools with wellbeing in the UK. According to NHS Digital, one in six children aged between six and 16 in England are likely to have a mental health problem. Govox is offering it’s wellbeing platform for free to state schools, in order to create a generation that feels comfortable in speaking up whenever they need a little support.

• 🕹 For young people in Belfast who love gaming - Are you 16-30 and want to boost your digital and employability skills? The Prince’s Trusts’ Get Started with Games Design course can help you to improve your Game Design Skills - join them in their Belfast Centre for this 5 day program which will enable you to meet new people and build the skills you need to prepare for a career in the gaming industry.

• 💥 The fashion industry is huge: 555,000 people are employed in fashion, textiles and fashion retail in the United Kingdom

• 🏧 Most people are in the business of selling clothes, not making them: Fashion retail employs 75% of people in the fashion world (roughly 400,000 people in both online stores and physical stores).

• 🖥 Data in fashion is BIG business: Because the majority of clothes are now sold online, data is an enormous part of the industry and many fashion businesses have bigger data teams than design teams now.

• 🌳 Sustainability if the future of fashion: People are angry at the extreme wastefulness of the industry, so the secondhand clothing market is expected to be twice the size of fast fashion by the year 2030.
